Hello everyone. I just found this site a couple of days ago and thought I would join the forum and say Hi.
My name is Nick and I hail all the way from Adelaide in South Australia.
I am attempting to do a restoration on a 1969 1600 GT which has been fitted with a Buick 231 ci V6 around 20 years ago. don't blame me it was like this when I got it.
I have dubbed it the Phoenix cause I am hoping that it will rise from the ashes, or perhaps the rise from the rust would be more appropriate.

Hello, and welcome (from a sunny Scotland for once!)
Sounds like you'll have a nice car once your finished. Are you keeping the buick or going back to what Ford intended? you'll have to post some pics, would be nice to see it.

Not really sure whether to keep the Buick or not but it certainly has a lot more poke than the stock 1600. I think since there is a lot of custom parts in the car to take the power upgrade that have been over-engineered when the Buick dies which I am sure it will I will go to a 302 Windsor V8.
How do I put pics up? I can't see an attatchment menu or anything else?

Thanks for that mate. I'll get a few pics of her up as she stands as soon as I get a chance to take some.
