Having a look through some old Ford catalogues and came across a newspaper cutting from a 1993 P&J. The Capri Club of Scotland were running a recruitment drive. It also mentions the Alford event. The contact name was Stephen Millar.
Amazing what you find tucked away.

1993 - seems a long time ago! I don't remember this article in the P&J in particular, but the club did get some good publicity from Aberdeen Journals on the week running up to the Alford shows over the years. I do still have some of the articles somewhere & even a programme that I made up for the first show in Oct 1991. I'll dig them out and see if I can scan it in. Thanks for posting that up Dave

amazing !! funnily enough, Capri Club Scotland was actually the name we members picked after we deliberately shut down 'Capri Ecosse'.. On the 20th October 1991 we had our last 'Capri Ecosse' extravaganza at Alford, we spent every penny we could on trophies and badges, everything left in the bank went to charity. I still have my 'attendees' plaque & a trophy for best Navigator on the 'Minefield' Capri Club Scotland was officially started up by all the members (except a few in Edinburgh) in Livingstone the week after we disbanded the 'Ecosse' commitee, and as CCS we returned to Alford in '92 & '93 I have some photos somewhere, and Tinky was right in there at the time .. Aaahh Memory Lane - great !!
