So to start some conversation off what's everyones Capri plans (or anything else they want to share) in 2014, any winter work currently being undertaking? when are people hoping to have their cars back on the road? What shows would you like to see the club attend this year?

Happy new year to yourself and other members.
As a newbie to the club, aims are to get out as much as possible driving in my Capri and attend my very first Capri show.
Keen to get to know some members more and listen and chat away about Capri's.
It would be good if there was some kind of list or calendar of events or drives etc as I have no clue and would help me plan.
All the best for 2014.

Hi Gordon, don't have a calendar as such however usually we kick off the season with a club run in either April or early May. Forres theme day is mid May which usually has a few attending. First Sunday in June is Fraserburgh, a club favourite, Tain falls the 3rd sun in June, quite a long run but usually a good show. Hope for a better turn out of capris this was just me last year! Glamis is sometime in July I think and there's normally a few other invites come in some of which we get members attending such as rs day at knock hill, anything transport museum puts on and rolling road day hosted by ccs. Hope that gives you some insight, gets discussed more at the meetings.

Hi Stuart, Both ours are tucked up as normal at this time of year. Be taxing them for April I expect. Apart from firing them up every other w/e and running them up to temp there's nothing much else happening on the Capri front here I'm afraid. How's your project coming on ? Is that Morgan's bottle empty yet ?? As for shows, I think that's a topic for the next meeting and get the calendar up soon so we can all get names down. I'm hoping to get to the usual ones but have a wedding at the end of July and the stag w/e sometime before that so may clash. I did get an entry for Glamis the other day but sure to be more coming as we get closer to the fine weather. Crathes at the end of May is likely to be the first for us unless we make it to Forres this year.

my project is making some progress, been out to garage quite a few evenings the last few weeks. Not much to post in the way of pics its kinda slow going at times, that said i've done the rear chassis leg and dismantled one of the front spring hanger sections I've also done one outrigger and patch to the floor at the drivers feat. There's sections of the lip where the floor, inner sill and outer sill all meet that are a mess so have been attending to that, new outer sills arrived yesterday so that will enable me to crack on and get proper progress with that. The more I look the more I see area's that need attention! Seam sealer hides alot! Morgan's bottle remains untouched!
