SOSE Show & Track day @ Kames 28th June

Hi Guys,

We would like to Invite your members to out annual Show & Track day at Kames Motorsport complex, Muirkirk, Ayrshire on the 28th June.

I can offer you 15 spaces for the show( If you need more please let us know and we'll see what we can do), If you can let us know final numbers 2 weeks before the day that would be great.

There will be several very special cars on display on the day, A Ford works GP4 Escort, Colin Mcrae's Uncle Shuggie with the car that Colin won a rounf of the Scottish rally championship in( Out on track as well ) Also there will be Charity passenger runs in GP4 escorts.

Entry costs are£5 per person( Under 16's go Free).

If you can be onsite for 9ish on the day that would be great

There is track action all day, traders, show n shine, visiting groups and a onsite cafe.

Ben & James from Retro Ford magazine will be in attendance and will be featuring the day in the mag

There is also camping within the circuit on the Saturday night @ £5 per person.( all money from this goes to East Ayrshire car club)

There is toilets & shower block on site also ;D

Some big news for Kames

We can now confirm that Jimmy Mcrae will be attending Kames this year for the SOSE day :dance:

Jimmy will be along for several hours as SOSE going to be raising money for the Mcrae Vision Charity, Alistair wil possibly be there as well but this is still to be confirmed.

Jimmy has very kindly agreed to do some demonstration runs out on the track in Colin mk2( we will be auctioning off some passenger runs out with Jimmy with all proceeds going to the Vision Trust). Something very special indeed 8)

We will also know next week weather the R4 or Colin's Word Championship Subaru L555BAT will be on display.

There a number of other car which will hopefully also be on display and some of them out on track also which include.

Colin Mcrae's mk2 Escort
Ari Vatanen's Mcrae stages Rothmans Escort.
John Allans car ( Colin's Old white car)
Colin's Uncle Shuggie's car( On track as well)
Malcolm Wilson's RAC winning GP4 Escort
Gary Adams GP4 car which is the twin of Colin's car.

For the SOSE day at Kames this year we are raffling off a passenger run with Jimmy Mcrae in Colin Mcrae's mk2 Escort, this will take place on the 28th June, a very special prize indeed!

The costs of this are £2 per ticket( a minimum of 3 tickets/ £6 for online sales please) or at SOSE events. This raffle will run until Friday the 26th June, No more tickets will be sold after this!

The winning ticket will be drawn by Jimmy Mcrae on Sunday the 28th June at approx 12.30 and the passenger run will be at approx 1.00pm at Kames, you will need to be there to collect your prize.

Your name will be added to each ticket and this will be called out, you will need to reference it with the ticket number that you are given on purchase of your tickets.

All proceeds from this are going to the Mcrae Vision Charity.
